VEC INSTITUTIONAL PHILOSOPHY
The goal of the Vancouver English Centre is to provide programs that fulfill the needs of English as a Second Language student. Since many ESL students already have some knowledge of grammar, our programs are aimed mainly toward improving speaking and comprehension skills.
We do everything possible to maintain an environment that supports our classroom instruction. Consequently, our "English only" policy is a fundamental aspect of the school philosophy. We ask our students to use only English, in and out of class. Another important aspect of our philosophy is class size. There are usually 8 to 12 students per class. This intensive instruction helps you learn rapidly.
